In 2012 we purchased a used excavator to complete drainage work on our rural property.  It had done about 4500 hrs and the seller had receipts for over $7500 just in parts getting both final drives rebuilt.  We were assured it would last for another 4500 hours, so you can imagine our disappointment when only less than 300 hrs later one final drive destroyed itself!

Not wanting to have them rebuilt again we looked for new replacement ones.  At over $8000 each we were surprised how expensive they were.

We ended up sourcing two new drives from a USA Company.  After waiting almost 2 months for them to get here, and paying both Sales Tax and GST on arrival plus Qantas freight and brokerage charges we were left with little change out of $15000.

We knew there had to be a better way.  For the next 2 years we visited various overseas manufacturers and tested many drives to see if we could find a more affordable quality product.

Partnering up with other like minded professional engineers we performed accelerated life time testing on products to find a reliable affordable solution. 

By 2015 by word of mouth we had many friends and friends of friends buying final drives from us.

In 2018 in order to keep up with demand we partnered with overseas  Final Drive businesses where we shared our product knowledge and distribution.

In January 2021 we branded Aus Final Drives,  our aim is to be Australia’s leading supplier of new quality Final Drives
